Hacking Battlegrounds is an intense, real-time multiplayer hacking game in the form of timed 4 vs 4, 2 vs 2, and 1 vs 1 battles. You can join the HBG Lobby, invite friends, choose a game mode, form a team, and throw yourself along with your teammates to the hacking battlefield!
Two game modes are currently available:

Cyber Mayhem, an Attack & Defense game mode

Server Siege, a Race To The Top game mode

The Tournaments
Hacking Battlegrounds tournaments are the first step to create a strong hacking esports community, gathering hundreds of hackers (the best in the world) and reaching over half a million people, counting platform members, social media followers, and newsletter subscribers. How did they work?

Unlimited battles: All HTB players got unlimited battles for six hours, regardless of rank or subscription status. Anyone who plays within the set timeframe will get a special badge for taking part in the HBG Tournament. Winners will get a winner badge.

Prizes & rankings: During the tournament, rankings were displayed real-time on the live scoreboard, ensuring the ultimate competitive thrill. Every tournament, the top 10 players with most wins and the top players per rank (17 in total) are awarded with HTB merchandising, training services or ad hoc prizes by the tournament sponsors.

Community engagement: The HTB community of over half a million platform members is always looking out for the next HBG Tournament! Thousands of people are interacting on social media, the HBG Lobby (public chat) and what else? The HTB Discord Server with over 80K users! Battle talks, teammates search, questions about best practises and so much more in the biggest infosec server! Be part of that conversation!

How To Play
Hacking Battlegrounds are open to everyone who is up for a challenge on their hacking skills! If you are new to Hack The Box, you will need to simply register first, and then access the Battlegrounds section.
Doing that, you will join the HBG lobby. Press “Play Battlegrounds”, select the Game Mode and the system will start searching for a match. Wait for the “Match Found” notification, that means your opponent team has been selected. Download your VPN key, wait till the battle starts and there you go. Time to fight!
Recently, Hacking Battlegrounds became available for enterprise teams too, as there’s no better Red & Blue Team training than an HBG match with the colleagues. In addition, enterprise customers can benefit from unlimited matches and a private company environment. Reach out to us here to get started.
